When I arrived on-site, I connected with the project coordinator and we immediately began assembling the foil backdrop. Our goal was to create a seamless blend that appeared as one solid piece—something we had to complete while models were still in makeup and wardrobe. Because of that overlap, maintaining efficiency and quality was essential. The most challenging part was covering the uniquely shaped chair in a way that met the lead designer’s creative vision, but through collaboration and attention to detail we achieved the seamless look on schedule.
Once the set was finalized, I oversaw the rotation of five photographers through multiple stations to ensure we captured a variety of scenes for the campaign. In addition to the backdrop, I took the lead on setting up the rooftop lighting for myself and the other photographers. It was a windy day, so I had to quickly develop a stabilization solution to protect my wireless flash equipment from falling. Using my weighted backpack allowed the setup to stay secure, and after this project I invested in sandbags to strengthen my outdoor equipment workflow moving forward.
At each station, I directed models and helped them feel confident working with a new photographer—an important part of ensuring consistent performance and high-quality deliverables. The final results were editorial-ready images that ultimately appeared in the June 2025 issue of GENZO Magazine. This project reinforced how planning, coordination, and real-time problem solving come together to drive successful creative outcomes.
