I worked with Marshall W. Cooper to capture BTS on the set of his senior thesis film No Biggie. Before shooting, we reviewed the shot list, locations, and timeline—briefings that, in retrospect, felt very similar to structured scrum meetings. These check-ins helped the team operate efficiently, stay aligned with the project scope, and remain mindful of time and budget.
During production, I coordinated closely with Marshall to understand each scene’s framing so I could position myself for high-quality BTS coverage without disrupting the flow of shooting. As shown throughout my portfolio, I’m intentional about capturing the small details that contribute to the larger narrative. In this case, the prop phones and fashion from 2006–2008 were essential to supporting the story’s authenticity—details that even a strong script couldn’t convey alone. Overlooking them would be like placing an iPhone in a film set in the 1950s; the inconsistency immediately breaks immersion.
Finally, I used my interpersonal skills to build rapport with the cast and crew, allowing me to document every member of the production team—every “cog” in the larger machine—while supporting the environment and workflow needed to complete the film successfully.
